WHEN WE RETURN TO THE SOURCE

When we return to the source,
What do we find?
A table of welcome; bread and wine.

1.	Here is the place of our returning,
	where we live our deepest hope,
	the image of God that we give birth to:
	a table of welcome and joy.

2.	Here is where the lowly gather,
	a place where the last are first.
	The humble rejoice and are glad.
	Our God is present in our midst.

3.	Rivers begin in deepest forest,
	where water flows from rock.
	As we drink from living waters,
	our lives are gathered into one.

4.	Let us join around this table,
	a banquet of love and grace.
	Come, let us celebrate in Spirit,
	let us return to the source.
